- Master Planning
- Digital Twin Technology
Ananda Luxury Resort & Spa seamlessly transitions between the exteriors’ natural beauty and the interior spaces’ elegance while preserving a densely forested site with more than 8,000 valuable trees. Envisioned along with HKS’s lead Hospitality designer in London, the design comprises of vast courtyards, shaded walkways, open verandas, and spacious decks connect guests to the verdant landscape. Through careful orientation, buildings rely on natural ventilation without air-conditioning throughout the day. The planning conserves water by harvesting and storing rainwater during monsoon for irrigation during the arid months.
The FivD Advantage:
FivD effectively uses Building Information Modeling (BIM) for interdisciplinary collaboration between all the consultants and client to facilitate conceptualization, planning, and designing. VR models utilizing Digital Twin technology help the client experience the outdoor and indoor spatial design within the resort without frequently visiting this site, set in a remote location. This process also catalyzes the communication of essential updates in real-time while minimizing coordination time.
During the construction process amid travel restrictions caused by COVID-19, this technology-enabled international consultants to virtually track the project progress. The BIM platform facilitates clash-detection for different disciplines, highlighting any concerns in time. With virtual models complementing actual site conditions, FivD has streamlined the construction process using a data-driven and technology-centric approach.
