‘Facilitating Better Design for a Better Future’
- Master Planning
This multi-unit housing development offers residents in the technology-industry suburb an amenity-rich and luxury alternative to the current economy housing options surrounding Seattle and its neighboring communities. Comprising of 150,000 sf, 85-unit mid-rise residential project with a small retail component at lower stories, it is a part of 7.6 acre, four-parcel multi-unit housing development master plan. The site provides ample access to the city’s open space and park space that define the neighborhood, overlooking the Dudley Carter Park and the Sammamish River Trail to the southwest and the Heron Rookery to the North. The design inspiration of The Osprey revolves around the formation of a dialgoue between the site’s existing preconditions and their thoughtful and contemporary reinterpretation.
The project consists of 5 typical levels of residential construction over a podium consisting of parking at basement level, lobby and retail and amenity spaces at the ground level, and a mezzanine level . The ground level creates an urban stoop, creating a dignified entry condition to the building lobby and also activates and establishes presence at the corner, with a double-height residential amenity space opening out onto a pedestrian plaza at the intersection.
